YOUR STAY

Clad in Western Red Cedar, Cedar Cottage Meander sits snugly against 50 acres of reclaimed forest that’s slowly re-wilding with species like native Tasmanian oak and Blackwood. Read about our commitment to sustainability.

Furnished with warm Tasmanian speciality woods like deep Red Myrtle and Blackheart Sassafras, the cottage is a unique and beautiful space.

You’ll find an appreciation of craft everywhere you look, from the old mortice and tenon joints, to the handmade Huon Pine kitchen, the post-and-rail fences made from hand-split hardwood, to the block-printed cushion and yukata robe fabrics. We’ve decorated the cottage with relaxed comfort in mind, using natural materials like wood, linen, cotton, jute, leather, down and wool.

Enjoy the guest library with a focus on contemporary Tasmanian authors, as well as coffee table, art and hardcover books, including publications from the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). We also have plenty of books to appeal to foodies by authors such as Analiese Gregory, Sarah Glover and Matthew Evans. Inspiration for open fire culinary adventures using the fire pit!

We haven’t scrimped on technology, this might be the bush, but you can still enjoy fast unlimited WI-FI, smart lock keyless entry, hardwired USB charging points, BOSE Bluetooth speaker, smart TV with complementary streaming, and programmable electric blankets.
