Taste the goodness

We have some of the best wines, cider, spirits, artisanal food and fresh produce at our fingertips in Meander Valley

With pristine environment, fertile soils and cool climate, Tasmania has gained international acclaim as a world-class food destination.

Our skilled producers, artisans, apiarists, distillers, brewers and viticulturists harness the fresh bounty of our rich, productive terroir, clean air and pure water.

Nature to plate is how we roll.

VEG MAHAL

Everything in our seasonal organic garden is fair game when you stay.

Fruit, veggies and herbs vary depending on the time of year and what’s happiest growing.

The garden is tended by my mum Carol who is a (well) seasoned organic gardener.

WHAT’S GROWING?

We grow raspberries, blueberries, heirloom blackberries, strawberries, passionfruit, blackcurrants, rhubarb, artichoke, rainbow chard, spinach, cucumbers, green beans, snow peas, heirloom lettuce, leeks, chives, spring onion, beetroot, radish, garlic, wasabi, parsley, rosemary, coriander, Vietnamese mint, thyme, mint, oregano and more.

NEARBY NOMS

Chow down on cheese, ice cream, truffles, leatherwood honey, handmade chocolates, truffles, pralines and fudges, fresh berries, hazelnuts, ethical smoked salmon, heritage breed pork and free-range venison.

Sip great beers, award-winning spirits, crisp ciders and cool climate wines.

Stock up at Launceston’s famous Harvest Market, the Tasting Trail and our local Deloraine Market.

For something a bit different, hop on your bike and fill up your basket along the Deloraine Gourmet Ride.

DINING OUT

Tasmania is full of quirky hole in the wall gems where you can strike up conversations with real characters.

We’ll highlight the best of them as we explore our local food scene.
